To celebrate Earth Day, The Falcon Group is excited to announce our commitment as a signatory to The Carbon Leadership Forum's MEP 2040 Challenge!
Buildings are responsible for the highest amount of global carbon emissions every year. Shockingly, energy usage alone contributes to almost 30% of annual global greenhouse gas emissions, while embodied carbon adds up to roughly 10%. It's clear that we need to take action now to reduce these alarming numbers. As engineers working with a variety of stakeholders, it is our responsibility to educate building owners and property managers about the technologies available to decarbonize their space.
Signing the MEP 2040 pledge reiterates The Falcon Group's commitment to sustainable design. One way to make a difference is by identifying areas where we can minimize the impact of MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems. This is a crucial step in achieving zero carbon, and it's up to all of us to work together and gain knowledge to catalyze change in our industry.
