
Scope of Work:
Falcon performed technical design and related services for the envelope upgrade of the Washington Irving Branch of the Brooklyn Public Libraries in NYC. The envelope upgrades included the replacement of slate shingles, copper leaders and gutters, replacement of sheathing and weatherstripping, and sub grade water infiltration. Coordination of building envelope items with new MEP systems.
Role: Falcon performed technical design and related services for the envelope upgrade of the Washington Irving Branch of the Brooklyn Public Libraries in NYC. The envelope upgrades included the replacement of slate shingles and all associated flashings, copper leaders and gutters, replacement of sheathing and weatherstripping, miscellaneous brick and stone repairs, sub grade water infiltration, and curb and metal fencing replacement along the street-facing elevations. Coordination of building envelope items with new MEP systems and other trade scopes.
Date of completion: Construction schedule is currently forecasted to start in January 2027, with completion scheduled for July 2029
Project Cost: Rough estimated cost of construction is around $8,900,000 across all trades
