Scope of Work
Falcon performed a comprehensive technical review and evaluation of the thermal envelope of the aluminum curtain wall and windows. Reviewed submittals, shop-drawings, mock-ups, construction sequencing, and checklists. Reviewed construction documents (drawings and specifications), including bid documents and construction schedule, contractor submittals and shop-drawings and monitored site conditions. Conducted kick-off meeting, field observations, prepared reports, issue logs and punchlists. Coordinated and attended meetings for the building envelope trades. Performed QA/QC of installed work.
Role: Falcon initially was involved in this project for leak investigation and litigation support services. Our litigation team supported the owner and their counsel in identifying and documenting 51 leaks around the 4 story office building. The building was constructed in 2013, so the owner was seeking compensation for the leak remediation repairs recommended to stop the leaking. Once Falcon reported on their findings, we provided construction related services including Design, bidding, and construction administration & observation services to complete the recommended repair plan. In tandem with the construction project aspect, Falcon also continued litigation services by documenting construction defects throughout the repair to support the Owners lawsuit against the original builder. Both ligitation support and construction administration services were provided fully throughout the project. At the construction of the repairs, the building, the owner, and its occupants were reporting zero leaks in the building.
