Scope of Work:
The Falcon Group partnered with Volunteers of America on the façade and structural restoration of Gulf Coast Village in Cape Coral, Florida. The project addressed critical structural and building envelope concerns while creating an opportunity to enhance the architectural character of the community. Through detailed evaluation, design exploration, and collaborative planning, the team developed solutions that improved building performance and established a renewed visual identity for the property.
Work Included:
- Building envelope assessment and restoration with Façade repairs and rehabilitation: Falcon Conducted a comprehensive assessment of the existing building envelope, including EIFS cladding, fenestration systems, and balcony railing assemblies to define the scope of exterior restoration. The resulting rehabilitation strategy included replacement of the existing cladding with a new three-coat stucco system, installation of impact-rated fenestration, and upgrades to balcony railing assemblies to improve durability, performance, and coastal resilience.
- Conceptual design sketches and renderings: Structural evaluation and restoration with architectural design development and enhancement: Performed weekly site inspections to evaluate construction progress, with particular focus on structural components integrated within the building envelope. As finish systems were installed, the review expanded to include architectural detailing, including stucco projection bands along the building elevations, to verify alignment with the restoration intent and overall design quality.
